No Squirrels

My 3 week anniversary….

I have one complaint about my new home.

I haven’t found even ONE squirrel in my backyard.  And Mom promised that she had squirrels here when she picked me up and took me away from the squirrels at Shih Tzu Rescue.

She’s a little worried about that because she says they have ALWAYS had a lot of squirrels and she is wondering where they have gone.

I have seen them when I’ve taken BBB for his daily walks but I can’t run and chase them when I’m on the leash.

I am fast as lightning and keep practicing my “stop and turn on a dime” maneuvers because I don’t want to lose my “edge.”  Mom calls me a little lunatic when I do them.  But it is not the same as having a squirrel to chase around the yard.

Do you think they’re hiding because of an owl or a hawk hanging around?  Maybe the females are having their babies?

Or — wait a minute —  I’ll bet they know the fastest squirrel chaser at Shih Tzu Rescue just moved into the neighborhood and they’re hiding from me!

I’ll keep practicing my moves with BBB.

I’ll be ready when they show up!
